Year 7 Maths
In addition to tackling a more challenging array of questions, Year 7 students recognise that numbers can be positive or negative, apply the rules for the order of operations, add and subtract decimals in real-life contexts and learn to use a Cartesian plane. Greater ability to think about the practical application of mathematical rules enables students to understand and represent data in more sophisticated ways.

Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
Maths Tutoring Program Based on the Curriculum
Cluey's Intermediate Mathematics learning programmes are based on the New Zealand Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core numeracy skills, including times tables in the early years, and fractions, decimals, percentages, angles and simple algebra in the senior years. Our personalised approach gives your child the opportunity to slow down in the areas they find challenging to ensure they ‘get it’.

University Student (Bachelor of Science)
Mathematics: Primary, Intermediate & Secondary
Nusrat completed her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Neuroscience, in 2018 at the University of Melbourne. She has two years of formal tutoring experience in Mathematics and English (up to year 10), Biology and Primary Science. Nusrat has a patient and jovial nature, which enables her to establish rapport with students quickly, and makes learning fun. She prioritises identifying knowledge gaps early and works closely with students to fill these gaps by using a format that will assist them best.

Terri is a qualified Math teacher. She has a Bachelor of Engineering and she is currently studying a Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Mariam completed her International Baccalaureate in 2020, scoring 39, which is equivalent of an ATAR of 97.35. During high school she also she tutored students in years 7-11 in English Literature, French and Psychology. Mariam is a confident tutor with great communication skills. She is passionate about education, teaching in a wide range of subjects.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
