Getting started

You can enrol directly on our website through our online enrolment process. During this process, we’ll ask you a few simple questions and recommend a learning programme to suit your needs. If you have any questions, you can contact our Learning Advisors on 0800 005 370 or admissions@clueylearning.com

Our online platform is where our students and tutors work together in real time, using video, audio, a virtual whiteboard, and the learning programme content. Students are also free to upload your own content or questions into the virtual whiteboard for their tutor to assist them.

The Cluey platform runs on Windows or Mac desktop and laptop computers. In addition, a mouse, camera, microphone and speaker are required. A digital pen may also be useful. Our platform doesn’t yet work on mobile devices.

When you enrol, we’ll send you a link to our learning platform, and run some tests to make sure everything’s working before your first online session.

Although we’d all love to be responsible for the next baby Mozart, our programmes are very specifically designed to build your child’s confidence in their abilities and help them reach their (personal) potential. This might well be top marks in the state. Or it could be good marks achieved with pride. Either way, our goal is to instil a love of learning in every one of our students, so that they’ll continue to do it for the rest of their lives.

Learning programmes

It depends on the programme you are enrolled in, your needs, the pace at which you work through the programme, and how many online sessions you choose to do each week. We’ll give you an estimated completion date at the start of your programme, and update this as you progress.

Whenever you like. Simply enrol and book your online sessions at times and dates that suit you.

Yes. You can enrol in as many learning programmes as you like.

Yes, if you’re enrolled in a 1-to-1 learning programme. You can do this by contacting our Customer Care team on 09 802 2361. They’re available Mon-Fri 9am to 9pm, and Sat-Sun 9am to 6pm.

You’ll be able to pause your 1-to-1 learning programme free of charge if you do so at least 48 hours before your next scheduled online session. Any sessions paused with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur the full charge as outlined on our Service Fees page.

Yes. You can cancel your learning programme by:

  • Contacting our Customer Care team on 09 802 2361. They’re available Mon-Fri 9am to 9pm, and Sat-Sun 9am to 6pm.

Yes. Our 1-to-1 learning programmes are designed so you can work through them with your tutor at the pace that suits you. We’ll update your estimated completion date as you progress.

We recommend students schedule at least one online session with their tutor each week, but you can choose to do more or less each week based on what suits you.

Yes, we offer small group tutoring with up to 5 students with a private tutor. Learn more.

You’ll have the option to progress to the next learning programme that meets your needs. Our Learning Advisors will be able to help you with this.

Learning sessions

These are the sessions you have with your private tutor on our online platform. You and your tutor can see and hear each other using real-time video and audio, and work through your learning programme together using a virtual whiteboard. Learning sessions are usually one hour each.

You schedule sessions with your tutor when you enrol in your learning programme. You can also add, reschedule, pause or cancel sessions by contacting our Customer Care team on 09 802 2361. They’re available Mon-Fri 9am to 9pm, and Sat-Sun 9am to 6pm.

Your private tutor​

We match you with the private tutor who is best suited to your needs when you enrol in your learning programme.

All our tutors are elite teachers, top achievers, past examiners, or subject matter experts with a proven track record of helping students like you succeed. And they must pass our rigorous selection criteria before we’ll assign them to any student.

Our tutors typically work with the same student for at least six to eight weeks, and often much longer. If your tutor’s no longer available – or you’d like to work with someone else – we’ll match you with another tutor who’s right for you.

And because everything you’ve worked on is recorded in our learning platform, your new tutor will know exactly what you’ve covered, and what you need to do next.

We also ask for your feedback about your learning programme and tutor at the end of every session.

Payments​​

We accept VISA or Mastercard debit or credit card payments.

For Pay As You Go plans, you’re charged 7 days in advance of your next scheduled session. For Pre-Paid Bundle plans, you’re charged the full plan amount two days before your first session.

You can also pause, reschedule or skip sessions free of charge at any time by notifying us at least 48 hours’ before your next session. Any sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur the full charge as outlined on our Service Fees page.

No. You only pay for each learning session.

If you decide to reschedule or skip a session, you may incur the full charge of your session as outlined on our Service Fees page.

We don’t offer free trials, but we offer a Starter Pack discount.

Holiday session times

Sessions will be running throughout the school holiday period, except for the dates outlined below.

No 1:1 sessions running on:

  • December 24th – 26th, 2021
  • December 31st, 2021
  • January 1st, 2022
Groups will also have no sessions running from December 20, 2021 until January 3, 2022.
