Secondary English at Cluey
Based on the New Zealand Curriculum for Years 9-11, Cluey’s approach to Secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy – and literary – skills. It includes in-depth exploration of a wide range of texts plus real-world practice tasks and clearly communicated advice on how to improve. Our personalised approach allows you to focus on whatever area you find most challenging, whether it’s story writing, essay construction, or anything else. Lori completed her Bachelor's degree in Linguistics in 1998. In 2010 she completed her Bachelor of Law & Graduate Diplomas in Legal Practice at Charles Darwin University. In 2010 she commenced studying her TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers Of another Language) Certificate. Lori has worked for over 20 years assisting people aged 15-64 years with skills needed to enter or return to mainstream education. Lori is confident in building relationships with a variety of students, identify their needs and solving these needs with acquired expertise and mentorship.

Secondary Maths at Cluey
At Cluey, our secondary mathematics programmes help you progress through numeracy levels 4, 5, and 6 to attainment of your NCEA - Level 1 qualifications. You will engage in a rigorous review of all outcomes defined across five main learning areas as defined in the New Zealand curriculum.

Suzanne Walker
BSc, G.DipEd
Suzanne is responsible for developing and overseeing the secondary Mathematics programmes. Suzanne was the recipient of 'the Most Outstanding Student Teacher' award from the University of NSW and has extensive experience teaching secondary Mathematics across all years and levels. She has also held roles as a lecturer at UNSW Global, a corporate trainer and as a software engineer.

Chong On Bianca

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
